The excellent writer Ian Sinclair has just published a new book: Hackney, That Rose-Red Empire. I haven't read this yet, but, thumbing through its pages in a Hatchards last week I noticed a chapter in the book headed Lord Napier - I'm obviously not the only one curious about this one-time public house in Hackney Wick (see previous post on Lord Napier). I'll let you know his thoughts when I've got round to reading them.
